In judo, matches are organized by weight categories to ensure fair and balanced bouts between judokas.

This system highlights technique, strategy, and adaptability, rather than just raw physical strength.

Weight categories exist to guarantee fairness between competitors, reduce the risk of injuries, and allow everyone to perform at their best.

Judokas are weighed before the competition, either on the day of the event or the day before, and the official weight determines in which category they will compete.

It’s important for a judoka to prepare ahead of time and manage their weight in a healthy way.

Weight categories in judo ensure fair, dynamic, and safe matches.

No matter your weight, there’s a place for you on the tatami.

What truly matters is your technique, your spirit, and your desire to improve!
