Priscilla Gagné is recognized as one of the top visually impaired judokas in the world. Diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a visual impairment, she is a model of perseverance and athletic excellence.
She discovered judo at the age of 23. In 2013, she moved to Ottawa to join the Takahashi Dojo, where she trained under Nathalie Gosselin, a former national team judoka and 1996 Olympian.
She made history at the 2021 Tokyo Paralympic Games, becoming the first Canadian female judoka to win a Paralympic medal.
